Joys of commuting

Eating on the train has to rank as one of the most obnoxious
activities available to man.

Sure my fellow commuters rammed on board are tired, irritated and
stressed out, I know just what will set their day up-they can watch,
listen and smell as I chew my way through a six pack of bacon sarnies.
Hey you in the pinstripe, pass the ketchup!

Correction-most obnoxious is the builder who sat down to me after six
months hard labour who appears to believe showers are doscretionary....

Blogging from my iPhone

Isn't that cool!

Basically blogger provide an email addess you can post directly
through. I can use the iPhone email app to create and post blog
entries. I could also use the blogger site but this is easier.

In other news despite the best efforts of the government I got a bonus
and have done my bit to stimulate the economy by purchasing a shiny
new iphone. You may question why given my poor track record with macs
but I just couldn't resist the geeky appeal of being able to listen to
led zep, surf the web and watch repeats of family guy all while
sitting on the train.

I am acually looking forward to my commute on Monday!

Timewasting feels like self improvement

The Times online Spelling bee. A great way to waste time.

Snow problem

So London is covered in snow, whats worse the train from Cambridge to London is absolutely screwed up. Worse still no cycling-roads too icy and trains to packed and infrequent.

Really annoying. Hopefully either it will become too inclement to get to work at all or the weather will clear up entirely and I can get back to my old routine.

One week of cycling

Cycled the entire week, (with the exception of Friday). Really glad I did it, enjoyed every moment, had a couple of run ins with bendy buses and white vans but arrived safe and sound.

Actually took no longer than the underground would have and was much more enjoyable. Wont be cycling tomorrow (we are experiencing a snow storm at the moment plus I need to get my shirts to the office), will be cycling the rest of the week and will update you on how it goes. If anyone is reading this and thinking about cycling to work then just do it!
